Bank mandates

The temporary relief co-ordinator received a warm welcome from the country director and his deputy. They had confidence in her and had both booked leave outside the country. The day after they left, the temporary relief co-ordinator discovered that they were the only two signatories for the organisation's bank account. She felt her only option was to forge their signatures on a bank mandate form that made her an authorised signatory to the account. She was worried that this was so easy to do.
